Current Site Operations

Department of Public Works (DPW) operations at 932 and 935 Spa Road are currently in the phase-out process at the Site as operations are transferred off-Site. Automotive garages and offices were present on the eastern portion of the Site, 935 Spa Road, until approximately 2018, when the buildings were demolished. Currently, 935 Spa Road consists of the formerly used Weems Whalen athletic field, a vacant concession building (proposed to be demolished), fuel pumps and associated underground storage tanks (USTs), a paved parking area, and a storage yard for the DPW.

The western portion of the Subject Property (932 Spa Road) currently consists of a three-bay automotive garage for DPW vehicle maintenance, a salt storage dome, trailers, and a storage yard for DPW materials. The salt dome is proposed to be demolished.
