Weems Whelan Field

The Weems Whalen field is a remedial priority for the City of Annapolis, with the goal to return the field to public use as quickly and as safely as possible. To facilitate this accelerated timeline, Weems Whalen Field will be subdivided from the rest of the Site and go through the VCP separately. This will be a faster process than the remainder of the Site, which will need more coordination with developers and other stakeholders. The City of Annapolis is committed to creating spaces the community can enjoy and plans to continue the recreational use of Weems Whalen as an athletic field. Upgrades are planned for the field prior to the reopening.
